Social Research
Social research is necessary in order to understand human social behavior in order to help people make better choices.
Social Research analyses critical social issues like poverty, inequality, healthcare, and helps identify underlying factors and offers recommendations for addressing them.
It investigates and provides insight into how human societies function and how human problems may be alleviated.
The Social research center in Guwahati, known as the North East Social and Research Centre (NESRC), focuses on doing indepth research on the various social groups that inhabit the North East.
At NESRC, the approach to fostering social change is rooted in a commitment to intellectual rigor and meaningful community engagement.
The center works closely with other researchers, organizations, and social activists involved with the cause of marginalized communities in Northeast India.
The NESRC has a well-stocked library, again, focusing on books relating to North East India, and has a robust documentation center as well.
