Social Research

Social research is necessary in order to understand human behavior in society and to help people make better choices. It investigates and provides insight into how human societies function.

Social Research analyses critical social issues like poverty, inequality, healthcare, and helps identify underlying factors and offers recommendations for addressing them.

The Kohima Jesuits set up a research center in Guwahati known as the North East Social and Research Centre (NESRC).

At NESRC, the approach to fostering social change is rooted in a commitment to intellectual rigor and meaningful community engagement.

The center works closely with other researchers, organizations, and social activists involved with the cause of marginalized communities in Northeast India
